Find the membership worth joining

The internet has made it almost frictionless to start the guitar, and almost inevitable to quit. You save a lesson. You tell yourself you will sit down on Sunday. The instrument becomes a piece of furniture, and the shame is quiet enough that nobody checks.

Shai Agmon built Shai Guitar Academy against that particular loneliness. He teaches medicine songs, fingerstyle, and improvisation, but the real product is not another pile of videos. It is a small Swarm membership (about 150 people) with a monthly focus, bi-weekly live calls, and a video app where Shai answers the messy middle of a student's week. The academy membership is just over sixty dollars a month, which is the cost of admitting you want a teacher, not another free tutorial you will mean to finish.

His own line is better than any tagline we could write: bring your soul's inspiration for music into grounded reality. That is a harder promise than "learn guitar." It is also the only one that treats adult students as people who already know how to collect courses, and still cannot make themselves play.
