Business communities: common questions

Are paid business communities worth it?
They tend to pay for themselves when you have an active business and a specific problem — pricing, hiring, a stalled channel. If you are still deciding what to build, a large free community usually gives you the same information without the commitment.
What should a business community cost?
Most sit between $9 and $99 a month. Above that you are usually paying for small-group access to the founder rather than the content library, which is only worth it if you will actually use the access.
How can I tell if a business community is still active?
Look at posts per member rather than member count. A community with 500 members and 5,000 posts is far healthier than one with 5,000 members and 500 posts.
